I keep thinking of things that I ought to post about, but by the time I actually settle down to it, the topic has fled and the words won’t come. Soooo that’s the story of why I haven’t posted anything here for a bit.
But, I hope to resolve this right now.
I suppose the first thing that needs to be addressed is to talk about what I’ve been doing lately. I have, I guess, been alternating between taking a break and working on Nevermor book 3. So, let’s start with that.
It’s April, and that means Camp Nano is underway, and I’m taking part in that. I’m aiming to add 20k to what I have already written, and camp is just getting started. So far I have around 45k for the book in total, but I’m not sure it’s as I want it… That brings me to the next point. While I’m still going to aim for a Feb 2015 release, I’m not going to rush myself. I want this book to be worthy of me (and you, of course), so I’m not going to release it until I’m certain it’s just like I want it. You all know it will be worth it.
I’m not going to talk about Book 3 yet, but I’ll start giving information on it a bit later once i know I have things under control.
Additionally, I’ve been working on a few other projects – mostly proofing a couple of my older works so that I can hopefully release them later this year. I’ll go ahead and tell you which ones I’m thinking about, though I can’t say when they will be available.
For those of you already familiar with my works:
Jack and Jill (yes, I hear you rejoicing) – It was my original plan to rewrite this a bit, which I have done some of, and then I thought ‘You know what, I’m done with this rewriting junk. It was a hit before, why not just let it go?’ Soooo it will still be rewritten some, but not as much as I had planned.
The Hallowed – I think it’s in pretty fair shape, but I haven’t started going over it to edit yet.
The Nutcracker Bleeds – I have this one pretty well edited by now and I intend for it to be released in November of this year if all goes well.
These books will be in ebook format only for now. I’ve put two of my other books into print (Roses and Black Glass and Rickety House), and I don’t think I’ve sold a print copy of either. The only books I’ve sold in print are the Nevermor books, and it’s not really worth my trouble to mess with the formatting.
There’s another thing I’m working on currently. Those who took a gander at my Kickstarter last year might have noticed that one of the prizes listed was that I would release a deluxe version of Forsaken Dreamscape which would include the Peter Pan version of the story. Though the Kickstarter didn’t fly, I’m still planning to do this. People keep asking me about the old version, and while I now see that this version was important to people, I don’t want it to exist on it’s own. SO! It will be published alongside the Nevermor rewrite in this Deluxe Peter Pan Edition. This bundle will only be available as an ebook. Right now, I’m thinking July for the release.
Hmm, what else. Oh, some of you are STILL waiting for Forsaken Dreamscape to be released on Kobo. I just want you to know, that’s no my fault. I wanted it to be there in February, but I’ve been informed that Kobo is wayyyy behind with their listings, and I have no idea when they will actually catch up. But as of today, Forsaken Dreamscape is still not there. I’m annoyed, but can’t really do anything. If you haven’t already sought alternatives, you should be able to get a compatible version through Smashwords.
I think that’s about it! Again, comments are welcome!
